GinerELX takes a bold step to update and reinvigorate its Spectracarb product portfolio. These changes will ensure a long-term and sustainable supply of their premiere graphitized carbon panel products.
In December 2018 GinerELX acquired the entirety of the Engineered Fibers Technology (EFT) company including branding, manufacturing, stock and all of the company’s assets while naturally inheriting their entire customer base. Caplinq Europe BV remains the European representative of Spectracarb products.
As part of their acquisition, GinerELX analyzed the existing business model and realized that, if they wanted their business to be solvent and profitable, they had to completely transform and reorganize the costs and production lines. EFT was liquidating the existing inventory in prices way under the manufacturing cost, forcing GinerELX to reevaluate the product portfolio and manufacturing process to ensure that they can continue providing exceptional quality and service.
As a result, effective August the 1st, GinerELX has increased the Spectracarb prices for all of their product lines while adapting or completely removing some of the product lines to reflect the services GinerELX’s clients mostly need.
This resulted in the following changes:
- Spectracarb 2050A Graphitized Carbon Fiber will remain as a supported product line with only part codes 6060 and 7090 available in a 55 x 55cm standard size.
- Spectracarb 2225 Activated Carbon Fabric is discontinued.
- Other sizes and densities that were previously available as standard products are only available as custom products. Custom orders will still be accepted but they will be quoted on a case by case basis with higher lead time and MOQ.

There is still some stock available from certain discontinued product codes so if you are interested in receiving new stock of discontinued products we will be able to utilize the existing inventory until stock is depleted.
CAPLINQ wants to reassure you that despite these changes, the remaining product lines will still have our full support and we will continue to invest in R&D to improve the Gas Diffusion Layer technology.
