Welcoming Caplinq’s Global Technical Service Manager
Welcome aboard, Deorex David Navaja! We are happy to announce that Deo has joined Caplinq as our new Global Technical Service Manager for almost a year now, effective July 3rd, 2023. Deo is a graduate of BS in Materials Engineering and completed his Master’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of the Philippines. He is currently completing his requirements as a candidate for a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering.
Deo has a total of 18 years in the semiconductor industry focusing on semiconductor materials. He started his career as a Design and Development Engineer in 2005 at PerkinElmer Philippines Inc. now known as Excelitas Techologies Philippines Inc. Seeking solutions to assembly challenges, he joined NXP Semiconductors Philippines as a Package Innovation Sr. Engineer, and eventually rose to the position of Materials Development Manager. As NXP was divested, he joined Ampleon under Package Development for 4 years. He furthered his career as Business Development Manager for Henkel, then joined Allegro Microsystems Philippines Inc. as a Subcon Quality Manager, contributing to the company’s quality control processes.
As a Technical Service manager, Deo mentors and leads our team of Application Engineers to be able to provide in depth troubleshooting and problem-solving for the semiconductor, eMobility, power and energy and electronics assembly markets.
Personal life
Away from work, Deo is fond of traveling to local and abroad tourist destinations, nature hikes, and spelunking adventures. Fueled by a competitive spirit, he dominates every athletic challenge. In addition to his passion for ball games like volleyball and basketball, moreover, he demonstrates his athleticism in racket sports like badminton and table tennis. Deo seeks knowledge through reading technical books, journals, and internet posts that capture his interest.
Deo’s in-depth knowledge on materials science and engineering, extensive experience in semiconductor assembly manufacturing, and eagerness to broaden his knowledge in other applications has been a valuable addition to the technical team and growth of Caplinq.
