I am happy to announce that effective November 9th, 2020, Donovan Cerneüs has joined CAPLINQ as Technical Service Representative. Donovan will be working full-time out of our new offices in Assendelft, the Netherlands, a short drive from his hometown of Purmerend where he grew up.
I love chemistry and look forward to the opportunity to use my technical skills while developing my commercial skills.
Donovan graduated from InHolland Amsterdam with a bachelor’s degree in analytical Chemistry. During his program, he fell in love with Chemistry and wanted to broaden his theoretical knowledge in Chemistry and thus pursued a Master’s joint degree in organic chemistry at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and the “Vrije Universiteit” (VU).
To help pay his way through school, Donovan always worked held part-time side jobs. Even in these positions, Donovan excelled. During his time at Albert Heijn XL in Purmerend, Donovan was promoted from stock clerk to team leader (the youngest at that point in time). Likewise, while working at Schiphol airport, his superiors quickly recognized his ambitions, and he was promoted from baggage handler to freight handler, a position with more accountability and responsibility.
These outside experiences helped to shape Donovan’s world view. Though the technical aspects of the chemistry always fascinated Donovan, and he enjoyed the time he spent in the labs, it was the combination of technical and commercial that most appealed to Donovan. He feels the Technical Sales Representative role perfectly plays to his strengths and he is excited to be part of the CAPLINQ team.
In his free time, Donovan enjoys going to the gym, doing social activities, traveling and meeting new people, and gaming. Donovan’s friends and family best define Donovan as ambitious, enthusiastic, social, energetic, and most of all “a very positive person.”
Donovan to develop and support new technical sales opportunities
Key to this role will be to work with our customers to clearly understand their product requirements and help them find and implement the right products to meet their production requirements.
Organizationally, Donovan will report to the Business Development Director but will interact with all departments as he understands and gathers the information needed to best help CAPLINQ’s customers.
